Hollystead Care Home

Located in Wavertree Liverpool, Hollystead is a beautiful Victorian villa which provides long-term residential care for adults with learning disabilities. Currently, we offer a residential service for 14 adults, with a further 2 rooms providing our hugely successful short-term respite programme for families and carers.

The environment at Hollystead is comfortable and stimulating. The building has been adapted so that all of our service users can access all the facilities, including a ramp to enter and a lift to the first floor. Our standard of accommodation is high, with 16 single bedrooms, all with their own washbasin and TV point, and individually furnished and decorated.

At Hollystead we respect and treat service users as individuals, and make sure their support needs are met appropriately. Our emphasis is on the dignity and privacy of each individual, giving service users the right to make choices and become more independent.

Each service user has an individual person centred care plan drawn up with them and their families, these are regularly reviewed. We encourage and support people to make full use of community facilities and develop their own social networks.

We support service users to pursue their own, individual interests and hobbies, both in the facilities we provide within the home including our sensory room and through a range of supported activities outside the home such as holidays and outings.

Staff have experience in meeting the needs of people who have complex needs or challenging behaviour and a senior member of staff is on duty at all times.
