Word from our Patron

Former England and Liverpool football legend, successful businessman and sports pundit Phil Thompson is so inspired by the work of Nugent Care that he has agreed to become our patron.

When Phil took up this role he was aware of and interested in our work having seen the fundraising activities that had been undertaken by the students of St Edward’s College in Liverpool, where his boys are pupils.  The college was also established by Father James Nugent, founder of Nugent Care.

Phil said: "I was surprised at the diverse nature of the work of Nugent Care which helps so many vulnerable people and am delighted to be their patron.”
